The Urbis Evolo 2 was the smaller of the two Evolos produced. The Evolo could run 35W-150W ceramic metal halide, or 42W-57W compact fluorescent lamps. Depending on light distribution required there were a few different reflectors and optical units. This one features the flat-glass option, with a reverse reflector for its 45W CPO-TW lamp.
On top of the canopy is a NEMA socket for a photocell. On it is an August 2011 date compass.
At the front of the lantern is a clip which opens the lantern. The canopy then hinges open towards the spigot and locks in place. This reveals the CPO driver within. This driver has a permanent 55% dim on it.
On the underside of the canopy are two stickers, one is a high voltage warning sticker, and the other is the lanterns ID sticker. On this sticker there is a faint "15 NOV 2011" date stamped. The sticker also reveals the excellent IP66 rating of both the lamp and gear areas, supply voltage, lamp-type and product code.
The Evolo has a similar lamp change mechanism to other Urbis lanterns, a quarter-turn lamp-holder. This is similar to the ones on the ZX/MC series.
