The Phosco P106 was incredibly rare, and was also very similar to the P107. The only real difference is the mechanism to open the lantern. On the P106, a clip and hinge mechanism caused the canopy to flip up, whereas the canopy on the P107 was removed with thumbscrews. This previously had a polycarbonate bowl, but as this was quite yellowed I swapped it for a clear acrylic cone, and placed the old bowl into the spares cupboard.
You can see the clip and hinge in the images below. Undoing this clip causes the canopy to swing upwards to open.
Due to the bowl not being easily removable, the terminal block for the luminaire is located on the crossbar at the top - the same crossbar that also supports the lamp-holder, refractor bars and sticker. The photocell was disconnected as the lantern will be operated indoors, and won't really need photocell control.

As everything is located up top, there really isn't anything in the base of the lantern, except for one lonely wire clamp.
