This is the longest lantern in the collection, clocking in at around 160cm (about 5ft 2). It came running a 131W SOX-E lamp, which is the economy variant of a 180W SOX lamp. It is slightly defective as it only has a single electrode. This does not affect the warm up, instead it is just slightly more flickery on start-up than a normal SOX-E lamp. This one came from fellow collector AgentHalogen_87.

The GRP section of this lantern is the same size as the one on an integral-geared Philips MA50 without the shoe.

At the end of this section is the Philips logo:

A NEMA socket is at the opposite end, between the two aluminium arms which attach the shoe to this section. A March 1992 date is present on the socket.

There are three clips on either side of the bowl, which can all be undone to open it. Two of these act as hinges so the bowl won't come off entirely upon opening, but it can be removed if needed.

An October 2020 date-code is present around the lamp's base. This will be its date of installation.

This lamp is an odd one, it only has one electrode, the other having fallen off. The dislodged electrode is just-about visible in the U-bend. Despite this damage, the lamp is in working-order.

The shoe can be opened via one flathead screw on either side.

Notice the two-part connector which connects the mains to the gear. This can be undone and the shoe removed entirely.

Inside is a Philips L4135 leak transformer ballast, as well as a Philips L5020/07 capacitor.

The lantern lit for the first time since acquisition, pictured below. In fact this was the first time I'd run a 131W SOX-E (or 180W SOX) lamp.
