One of my largest lanterns, the MA50-GO*1/S is the gear-in-head version of the MA50 for 135W SOX. It shares the same canopy as the remote-geared MA60 for 180W SOX. The lantern measures roughly 140cm long - almost exactly twice the length of the remote MA90! The *1 in the name indicates a factory-fitted NEMA photocell socket.
The bowl is dated to February 1993:
The Philips logo is located in the GRP at the front of the canopy:
Inside, the reason for the lantern's length becomes clear. A 135W SOX lamp would stretch from the front of the lantern, all the way to the gear-tray, which takes up the remainder of the space.
The sticker is located near the lamp-holder, on the canopy. "3B 18" dates this lantern to the 18th February 1993.
The gear is located on a tray in the back of the lantern. All components appear to be original!
