ELECO Royston Lantern Installations
This lantern was first manufactured in 1946. They could run 80W-125W MB/U, 125W MBF, or 300W-500W tungsten filament lamps. Their hexagonal body was cast in one piece, with an optional focal position depending on the lamp-type to be used. The refractor in these fittings could give: symmetric, axial, or non-axial light-distribution.

This is one of a set of three survivors along St Peter's Church Walk.
This stunning installation has dodged vandalism, keeping it's dome-refractor. The same cannot be said for the other top-entry lantern on this pathway.
The cut-out box is branded "Wardle"; the ELECO lantern likely isn't original to this bracket. A Wardle Arran is also situated along this pathway. Given the box's branding, another Arran was probably used here.
The lamp is long-gone from this example, but I believe the lanterns here would've run tungsten lamps.
