Flag Lane, Crewe

This is in very close proximity to the other defunct concrete column on Victoria Street. Unlike the example there, however, this example is only 5m tall. This column is the redundant remains of a Concrete Utilities Byway-X. An MI26 was installed here previously, but it was removed when new columns were installed along the road. Why it's column was never removed is unknown.

A plethora of smashed concrete litters the ground around the column's base.

The steel rebar that would have provided extra structure to the concrete column protrudes precariously from concrete at the top.
