My Collection: Fitzgerald LPF.65
With thanks to my support worker for saving this batten for me. This came from a kitchen, and is fitted with the diffuser, although the Fitzgerald Lightpack was also offered without one. It is designed for 65W T12 lamps, but during its service ran a 58W T8 lamp.
The bottom of the diffuser is dimpled to distribute light from the fluorescent tube. There is a small amount of damage and staining to it.
The Fitzgerald sticker is located on the outside of the batten, near the starter hole.
The end caps can be removed by turning a thumbscrew.
There was some overlap with these battens, both the T8 and T12 versions used the same ballasts, with the only difference seemingly being the endcaps.
The battens can be discerned as well via the sticker on the reflector. This one is specified as the T12 version.
The reflector is held on by two thumbscrews. The wiring is visible below:
The starter is a Sylvania FS-11.
The Ballast is of a type that was frequently sold under different brands. Fitzgerald was one of these and sold it as the L65A-S. The printed code on the right could be a 1992 date code - but I'm not sure.
