My Collection: Coughtrie SW10

This stylish light was purchased for just £1 on eBay, and was collection only from Tamworth. It was removed as part of a house renovation - although why it was removed is a mystery to me, all it needs is some TLC and is in great condition! The S.W.10 is my favourite of the Coughtrie wellglass bracket-mounted fittings, and I am looking for one with the wide shade to go with this one.

The bracket is unique, and the Coughtrie SW10 is not original to it. It would have had a similar light made by REVO on it originally, given it is a REVO bracket.

"Coughtrie", "Glasgow" and "REF.S.W.10." are cast into the light's housing.

"C 423" I would guess, refers to the part number of the glass support ring.

The 15W tungsten lamp is the largest thing inside. It is not the lamp it came with, as that had long-ago failed.

Other than that, the SW10 is very simple in construction. Inside is a lamp-holder held in by two latches at either side.
