I don't have much of an interest in flood lights, so they rarely tend to stay in the collection for very long, but this is one of two that will remain in the collection for the foreseeable future. This is the 150W version of the newer SONPAK floodlight, which is where the suffix "-15" is derived from. This one came from eBay for just £1.
I must thank Thorn Lighting for making identification easy here, we have the sticker, Thorn logo and "SONPAK" positioned boldly across the front!
I was originally going to use this flood as spare parts, stripping its gear, lamp & holder, reflector and glass, but seeing the immaculate condition of its innards, I decided to keep this and use it to replace the larger SONPAK-25 in my collection.
These floodlights were incredibly reliable, and this is reflected in the great condition of all the components inside:
Unsurprisingly, this reliable little luminaire powered up with no problems.
