This was the third SGS203 to enter the collection. Unlike the other two, it features a flat-glass bowl. The canopy is in great condition, minimal shedding of fibres has taken place, and consequently, the clean up was easy.
To complement this, the aluminium is barely corroded at all. Inside is a 70W SON-T lamp.
The lantern is opened via a clip at the street-end.
"8K08" on the sticker refers to the 8th November 1998; the exact date of production for this lantern.
The flat-glass simply sits in place where the deep polycarbonate bowl would usually be.
The gear is all Philips-made, and dates to 1998 (much like the lantern) indicating that it is original.
