This example of the MI36 is another which features the aluminium casting for post-top mounting, and in service, was mounted at 6m. The lantern is in good condition when considering it's age, and the gear in this one appears all original, with the lantern itself dating to August 1999. The lantern contained a 55W SOX lamp upon acquisition.
The factory-fitted NEMA photocell socket is dated to March of 1999.
The spigot cover was damaged during removal, as the lantern was being stubborn, and wouldn't come off the column.
The sticker is located beneath the lamp-holder. The "9H20" likely refers to the 20th August 1999.
The lantern was given a new gasket-seal, as the old one was rotted quite badly.
The gear is stashed in the front (street-end) of the lantern.
The ballast has some rust, but this won't affect it's performance.
The date-code on the capacitor likely refers to the seventh week of 1998. As you can see, significant yellowing has taken place due to heat exposure, but this is typical with capacitors that are as old as this one.
