The P852 was the predecessor to the P852K. This particular P852 dates to 2019. Its exact original location is not known as it was an online purchase, but this sticker reveals this one came from somewhere in Essex. This P852 is a 20W example, so it was likely used on a side road or street. The spigot position originally indicates it was side-entry mounted when in service, but I switched this around to a post-top position.
The lantern is populated with 12 LEDs, hence the "-12" suffix on the sticker (to be seen in later images).
Installed in the lanterns canopy is a 7-pin cell socket, but the lantern was supplied with a 3-pin Zodion cell (perhaps an SS4) from 2014, which likely wasn't its original cell. This will work in the cell socket however.
Above the LEDs is a heat sink:
The P852 is a very narrow lantern, demonstrated by this view of its 76mm spigot:
The spigot can be adjusted in increments of 5 degrees.
To access the driver-area, two bolts on top of the canopy can be removed, and the canopy then comes off. Even with the lantern being so narrow, it is surprisingly spacious inside.
A 2019 date-code is etched into the base, there's also a sticker with wiring instructions nearby.
Upon installing a cable, and powering the lantern on, the LEDs all lit up.
