Holophane R-Line Lantern Installations
Holophane's R-Line is an up-and-coming main road lantern, and can run 28W-134W LED. The lantern shares the same structure as the lantern's smaller brother, the Holophane S-Line, with the only difference visually being the length of LED board. It's brightness can be anywhere between 4000lm-19000lm.
Fazeley
Several endangered columns exist along Watling Street through Fazeley and Mile Oak. These support a mix of Thorn Civic 1s and Holophane R-Lines. These are slowly being picked off by replacement schemes as of 2024, and it's clear why!
And here's the reason... lots of them are battered, having accumulated damage over the decades. This is column E20.
The bracket has also rotated out of line with the road.
The next column along was also damaged (E21).
The door on this example has come loose, damaged by decades of people parking on the grass here. Inside, an isolator is present.
Tamworth
Situated along Tamworth Road used to be several 135W SOX REVO Hyperion Bs. Sadly, these were removed in 2024, and the replacement lanterns that were issued were Holophane R-Lines. Pictured below is column 19:
These examples are all 100W ones, producing approximately 13717lm.
The Holophane R-Line oddly suits the 1960s bracket, but not as much as the Hyperion Bs did!

Column T6:
An unpainted section of the bracket is visible near the spigot of the new lanterns, this is where the Hyperion Bs would have been sat, when the columns were painted these sections could not be.
This 55W example replaced an Urbis ZXU1 on Kettlebrook Road, Tamworth. Their simple and compact design makes them outshine all other competitor lanterns!
A closer look reveals each of the LEDs glowing brightly at night.
