This heritage post-top lantern is part of DW Windsor's popular York range. The York GEN2 can feature a decorated canopy and bowl for a more traditional appearance. The GEN2 is the successor to both the York and York long. They are 78.6cm tall, and 32.3cm wide. These lanterns can output up to 8211lm, with a maximum power-consumption of 52W. This equates to a maximum efficacy of 168lm/W.

Mounted to cast-iron bridge pillars on Bird Street are two York GEN2 lanterns.

The reflective cone has detached in the first example (E2).

These examples run HID lamps, perhaps SON or CMH. The York GEN2 was designed before LED technology was fully utilized in them, but LED versions are the only ones that can be purchased nowadays.
