DW Windsor Battersea Lantern Installations
This page features one of DW Windsor's bespoke designs. It appears these do not have an official name, but I'm dubbing them the "Battersea", as they (or a very similar design) are featured here. These were replica lanterns made in copper, featuring polycarbonate glazing, and installations of these are known to have run 45W Cosmopolis, or 70W SON lamps.
Crewe
Some of these lanterns appear on Market Street, in Crewe. There are four in total, and the replica lanterns themselves are in need of refurbishment nowadays.
The one in the centre is day-burning, with three being smashed to bits, and the other one having a condensation problem.
Owing to the cobwebs inside, it appears to have been this way for at least a few years. The lanterns appeared intact on street view in 2018.
These definitely appear to be a variant of the same lanterns seen on Battersea Bridge, using near identical finials and frogs.
One of the lanterns (the one on the right of the above image) features a very, very dead lamp.
