CU Phosco P863 Lantern Installations

CU Phosco's P863 was the smallest lantern in the high-quality P86X family. These are also known as the King of the Road, and can be adapted for use on A-Roads. Much like the rest of the P86X range, these luminaries are dark-sky compliant. On top of this, they also offer an ingress-protection rating of IP66.

Stoke-on-Trent

Some P863 lanterns are installed on twin-arm columns along the central reservation of the A500. Most of these are P862s or P861s, so seeing these P863s among the mix was quite unusual. Urbis ZX3s would've been installed here previously.

These lanterns are fitted with break-away chains, as a column impact could send them careening into vehicles.
