Coughtrie SW10 Lantern Installations
Coughtrie's SW10 is a common bulkhead which is available for regular GLS lamps. They can be mounted top-entry only, situated as a pendant or on a wall-bracket. These fittings can come with no shade or a wide shade for stylistic and light-distribution purposes.
Birmingham
These derelict installations of SW10s and PW15s are located on the wall of The Royal Suite. All of the SW10s are in very bad condition. This first one is located on the North side of the building. It would have been fitted with a wide reflector-rim originally, but this has long-since been knocked off.
Another installation on the south side of the building still maintains it's reflector, and the base-section of a tungsten filament lamp.
Crewe
These installations are located on Union Street Baptist Church. There are two that I could spot, both in good condition compared with the Birmingham examples.
Both of them are installed above the entrance doors to the church.
Loughborough
The Great Central Railway is littered with Coughtries. Seen here are an SW6 and SW10 mounted alongside one another, on a café building.
Nowadays they run domestic GLS LED lamps, perhaps 9W.
Another one is situated near the entrance to the on-station museum. It looks to be fed directly into the building, as the space left for cable-entry at the bottom of the bracket is empty.
