This page documents the large Birkdale lantern by Acrospire, but the small version is also documented separately. The large Birkdale is 69cm wide and 67.5cm tall, with an ingress-protection rating of IP66 for the bowl-compartment, or up to IP65 for the gear-area. These lanterns are rated for their extraordinary anti-vandal properties, with an impact-resistance of up to IK10++. Four LED colour-temperatures are available: 2700K, 3000K, 4000K or 5000K.

Birmingham

These Large Birkdale lanterns are located along Key Hill in Birmingham. These were installed in 2025, meaning they may have been installed just days ago at the time of photographing.

Holiday Street has a few Acrospire Large Birkdale lanterns as replacements for Candela Aston Maxis and DW Windsor Strands.

The lanterns were only about a year old at the time of photographing!
