Rugby Railway Station

Outside of Rugby Railway Station is a short cast-iron pillar about one metre in height. Sitting atop it is a Hortsmann time switch box and the remains of a bracket (perhaps a swan-neck) with the rest of the bracket having corroded and snapped off (or been removed) in the past.

The logo indicates that this particular installation (at least the bracket) dates to the 1940s - but the pillar is likely older and in this case would have hosted a gas lantern originally.
