A foreign fixture, the Jintai 40W and 60W floods are still quite common throughout the UK. They are usually quite reliable, but this one has succumbed to it's fate outdoors. I obtained it from Welsh street lighting contractors, but it does not work, and I couldn't open the driver area to evaluate the damage. I am fairly sure it is a 60W example.
It appears to have once been painted black, and the back reveals the radiator. If it is the 60W flood, it will be about 5322 Lumens.
It wouldn't be until two years later in November 2025 where I would open the driver compartment. The inside of the compartment actually isn't corroded, it is a layer of corrosion from the driver.
It will be hard to find the same model of driver, so I may just opt for an equivalent.
The driver dates to May 2011, meaning it did roughly twelve years of service before its untimely demise.
The corrosion is evident on the underside of the driver's circuit board.
On the other side, the news isn't any better. Many of the components have burst, with corrosion blanketing the screws and terminals. a 9th July 2010 date is visible at the bottom-right corner of the board.
