Urbis Stratos Lantern Installations

The Stratos by Urbis was an enormous post-top lantern which weighed between 86kg-150kg. They could have either 4 or 6 IP66 Sealsafe optics, each one tasked with running a 150W-400W SON-T plus lamp. The four-optic version was 1.43m wide, with the larger six-optic version being 2m wide!

Along York Road outside of London's Waterloo Tube Station are three Stratos Lanterns with four optics each.

These don't appear to have been retrofitted yet, likely still running their SON lamps.

Along the A1211 are another trio of four-optic Stratos'. These all still run SON lamps, and can be sighted day-burning on street view in 2022.
