Thorn S500 Lantern Installations

Thorn's S500 was a simple globe lantern featuring a Holophane refractor globe. They are very similar to the Holophane Prismasphere for this reason, but the main differentiation between them is that the S500 has a smaller base. The Thorn S500 also had a smaller version: the Thorn S400, but this will be listed separately. These lanterns would run HID lamps.

Tamworth

These Thorn S500s are located on the grounds of the Tamworth M42 services. They presumably run 70W or 100W SON, but I can't be sure. They are all on double armed columns with an S500 on each arm, mounted at 5m above ground-level.
