Thorn EMI 2D FV 16 Lantern Installations

The Thorn EMI 2D FV 16 was a bulkhead dating from the 1980s, after Thorn's release of the 2D fluorescent lamp in 1981. This version differed from the 2D FVP 16 as it employed an opal diffuser instead of a clear prismatic one. This diffuser was held on at either side with a screw. As the name suggests, they could accommodate a single 16W 2D fluorescent lamp. Inside was a hinged reflector tray which also housed the gear on the rear-side.

Not gone, but forgotten! This 2D bulkhead is located above a gate along Park Valley. The LED floodlight installed below it gives some indication as to the light's operational status.
