Thorlux A-Line Lantern Installations
The A-Line is an LED, batten-type fixture made by Thorlux. The can feature an impact-resistance rating up to IK10, and it's for this reason that these luminaires are common in train stations. Their optics can include either an acrylic or polycarbonate bowl. They output between 3,670lm-10,535lm, with a maintained emergency option for 510lm-535lm. Emergency versions feature a Nickel Metal Hydride with a 3 hour duration.
Lichfield
These battens are common in Lichfield City Station. The following image allowed me to identify them; notice the Thorlux logo beneath the cover. The green LED indicated these are emergency versions. These have built-in photocell units, so that keeps the platform ones off during the day, unless the mains shuts off.
Quite a few of these exist on the platforms, underneath the canopy.
Another one along the same row of battens.
At the time, I did not know what these were. As I don't check photos until I get home, I decided to grab more photos of the logos inside to maximise chances of identification - not knowing I'd land a hit on the first image!
More of these are visible in the tunnel leading out of the station.
Stafford
This A-Line was pictured hanging above a lift in Stafford Train Station. The dotted LEDs and mesh around the lift doors provided quite an odd light pattern.
Tamworth
The following example was pictured underneath a parking area in Tamworth Station. The opportunely low mounting-height (2m) allowed for some good shots of the light.
