SUGG Canada Gate Lantern Installations

These incredibly ornate lanterns were made for the Canada Gate outside of Buckingham Palace. They run on gas supplies, and feature five or six burners. They are completed with ornamental gold decorations and crown finials. These were not designed for standard street lighting columns, instead being designed to fit on the gate pillars themselves.

The first four lanterns were pictured first on a cool evening in the summer of 2025. They were lit at the time I first saw them.

They were still lit by the next morning as well, these ones appear to have six burners.

Another gate on Spur Road has two of these bespoke lanterns on it.

These have five burners.
