Schréder Polo Lantern Installations

This page documents the Polo - a side-entry lantern originally from Aquila Design. Presumably, the "600" (or "800" for larger versions) referred to it's diameter in mm. This sleek lantern could run either one high-pressure sodium or metal halide lamp, or two Cosmowhite, metal halide, or High-pressure sodium lamps.

Derby

On one side of Exeter Bridge were two Aquila Polo lanterns, each fitted with two SON-T lamps.

The two optics for the SON lamps are visible (rather-boldly) from ground-level.
