Philips Luma 3 Lantern Installations

The Luma 3 (or BGP627) is the fifth (and largest) lantern in the Luma series sold by Philips. The design was originally pioneered by WRTL before the design was sold to Philips. The Luma 3 was available with 100, 120, 140, 160, 180, or 200 LEDs, for a total power-consumption between 64W-425W. They can be seen in an incredible range of applications, from street lighting to high-mast lighting.

Birmingham

This Philips Luma 3 is located on Smallbrook Queensway, on a twin-arm bracket.

This Luma 3 is located on Little Shadwell Street, mounted post-top.

This close-up reveals that this is actually an older Indal version, as opposed to Philips.

Walsall Road near Perry Barr Station is lined with Luma 3s. These would have replaced Philips SGS203s.

An unusual installation of Luma 3s is present along the A4400 at the start of St. Chads Tunnel Northbound. There are tens of Luma 3s installed under the bridge, rather than tunnel luminaires.

There's about a metre of space between each one, if that.

Nottingham

Lots of Luma 3s are installed along the A6008 through Nottingham.

They feature light grey paint, I'm unsure as to the wattage of these.
