Holophane Wallpack Lantern Installations

These bulkheads bear a strong resemblance to their sister bulkhead, the Wallpackette. These are a decent bit rarer (or not payed attention to) than those as they weren't used on such a wide scale, but they were known to run 50W-150W SON-T or metal halide lamps when they did appear.

Birmingham

This LED retrofitted example was spotted off Dale End. It is not the only one here, and all of them seem to be retrofitted in the same way.

Crewe

I still don't know what I'm looking at here - on the A5078, where Flag Lane takes a bridge overhead, are a Holophane Wallpackette II and a Wallpack located on opposite sides of the underpass. The Wallpack presumably runs a brighter lamp as there's also a cycleway on this side of the road. It appears to be fitted with some-kind of anti-vandal shield, but I'm really not 100% sure thats what it is.

It really doesn't help that the local birds have nominated this lantern for decorating.

Lichfield

This installation is located along Minster Pool Walk.

It is fed via an AC Ford cut-out box on the wall above.

Inside the box will be an isolator. This example has been sheltered from the weather by the building and an adjacent tree, so the Wallpack is in remarkable condition.

This is not the only Wallpack in Lichfield, in fact it is one of many. I pictured this 150W Wallpack along Bore Street. There are two atop this building, and an AC Ford box down a short alleyway which feeds them.

Stafford

A mix of Holophane bulkheads for SON lamps are installed along the walls of the various buildings along Crabbery Street. There are some Module 600s, as well as some Wallpacks.
