This page covers the GEC Z8134B range which was also known as the Universal Difractor Lantern. Loughborough

On the grounds of the Charnwood Museum in Loughborough are a few GEC fittings. Standing proudly next to a seating area is this ornate 100-year-old cast-iron column supporting two GEC Z8135B lanterns - the Z8135B lantern made its debut in 1948.

Upon closer inspection, however, something seems off about these fittings.

And that's because there are four lanterns up there! Inside the GEC fittings are two REVO Belltop lanterns. The Z8135Bs would have had refractor bowls originally, but these were removed to make way for the Belltops. If the Belltops had bowls or refractors, these too have been removed.

Both Belltops are fitted with 125W MBF lamps.
