Weighing 8.1Kg, GEC's Olympic (F69099) offered lamp-types of 500W-1000W GLS, or 150W-400W discharge (SON-T, MBF/U, MB, MBI, or SON-E). The flood lights also used heat-resistant, toughened glass. A mounting-bracket was offered as standard, but upon request a GEC F69126 spigot could be supplied for post-top mounting.

Birmingham

Located on the site to an old sports ground, off Fort Parkway (now an industrial site) are a couple of GEC F69099s. These would have been original to the sports ground, and are now the only remnant left.

Both floods are wired to the same photocell in the centre of the column, each having their own pre-wired gear-box. Notice the GEC logos on the boxes.
