DW Windsor York Lantern Installations
The York lantern by DW Windsor has many adaptations. Previously, it was sold for SON or metal halide lamps, but to keep up with modern demand, LED versions are now available featuring Diamond+ optics. The LED version of the lantern is closed off with an injection-moulded cone, and features no visible wiring from ground-level. Older versions saw refractive polycarbonate cones used for optimal optical performance.
Chester
This short York is one of two examples located at the back of Castle Square in Chester. Visible inside is a dome-refractor orbiting the lamp.
This York appears vastly different than the previous examples. It features a P111 canopy and a cone from an unknown lantern as a repair job. Presumably the internal construction is also from the York, and the finial too.
