Designplan Sparta Lantern Installations

There are many versions of the Designplan Sparta - it was originally created back in 1963, so it has seen many physical and technological upgrades throughout its time on Designplan's product catalogue. Whilst the Sparta or Sparta T5 ranges don't appear on their website anymore, LED retrofit trays for them can be made I believe. The Sparta had an impact-resistance rating of IK16, which made them ideal for challenging environments.

At the end of Platform 1 are a few Designplan Sparta luminaires for two 5ft tubes each. The first one was photographed next to an access ladder. A section of electrical conduit can be seen supplying the lantern to the left.
