CU Phosco P850 Lantern Installations

CU Phosco's P850 was a post-top or side-entry main road LED lantern available in wattages between 89W-302W. As an option, the lantern could come with one of the following: a NEMA socket, CMS options or a minicell. The lantern's housing is constructed from diecast aluminium and a flat-glass cover.

Birmingham

Some P850s are located around the car park of The Hawthorns Railway Station. They're all situated on rather-drunk-looking columns.

An example of the type of column this lantern is situated on, this one supporting a TRT Aspect. I wonder how difficult it was to get the cable through that!

London

A number of CU Phosco P851s line the A4 through Kensington. These replaced Philips SGS253s in 2015.

Some more examples on the A4 (Talgarth Road):

A day-burning, post-top Phosco P850 was spotted along the A100, near Tower Bridge.

Followed (later in the day) by this example on the A200, which isn't day-burning.
