Arcluce Ares Lantern Installations
Arcluce's Ares was a floodlight that could come with a range of five optics depending on the required light-distribution. These optics were: narrow beam, semi-wide beam, wide beam, asymmetrical semi-wide beam, or asymmetrical wide beam. They could run 250W-400W tubular metal halide, or high-pressure sodium lamps. Nowadays, it has been superseded by the ECO LED floodlight.
Newcastle-under-Lyme
These floods are located on the grounds of a car dealership off Liverpool Road.
These all run what look to be 250W metal halide lamps, featuring an asymmetrical semi-wide beam reflector.
Arcluce's logo is cast into the door. From this close-up we can also see the metal halide lamp is certainly dead, just look at that arc-tube!
