AEC Lighting Kaos 1 Lantern Installations

These fixtures were never really used on public roadways here in the UK, but they were used in abundance when it came to private-ownership. The lanterns could run 50W-150W SON-T, CDO-TT or MHL-E, or 45W-140W CPO-TW. There were two sizes available, the Kaos 1 being the smaller of the two. These were also sold by Kingfisher Lighting here in the UK.

Birmingham

Some Kaos 1s are installed on the site of Heartlands Academy.

Burton-upon-Trent

This Kaos 1 is situated post-top on a privately-owned column just-off Derby Road.

The lantern sits on a post-top spigot adaptor.

Crewe

The Sidings in Crewe is lined with Kingfisher Kaos 1 lanterns. They appear to be mounted at roughly 8m above ground-level.

Stoke-on-Trent

These examples are installed on an industrial site on Garner Street.

I believe these examples run SON lamps.
