1901 SUGG Lamp Lantern Installations
These lamps are made by SUGG, and are mounted atop pillars outside and around Buckingham Palace. They feature a six-sided body, with a decorative semi-spherical canopy and a crown finial on top. The lanterns themselves are still the originals, but the burners have been modernised on many occasions. These were the first public outdoor lights installed in London by William SUGG.

The lamps first were visited by me on a clear evening just after sunset.

The following day, they were visited again. As well as the installations consisting of five lanterns, some lone lamps are installed on a few of the pillars.
A small amount of corrosion is present inside most of the lanterns.
